Rescued from a life of leisure in 1999 by a blind pony named Taffy, Katie now works as a fulltime volunteer at the sanctuary, caring for 3 blind dogs, 1 deaf dog, 2 blind cats, 1 deaf and blind cat, 2 crippled horses, and over 30 other unadoptable critters. (We don't count the skunk and raccoon that moved in over the winter.) |
Rescued from bachelorhood in 1995 by Katie, Stan now works as a fulltime volunteer at the sanctuary, coordinating events, running our eBay store shipping department, hauling hay and feed, chauffering the boss on rescue missions, and doing property maintenance. |
 Rescued from his Xbox 360 in 2013 by Katie and Stan, Bob works as a fulltime volunteer on construction projects at the sanctuary. He built or supervised construction of the fencing, barn, chicken coop, storage buildings, and now works on residence renovations. |
 Rescued from retirement in 2007 by Katie Ball, Suz works as a fulltime volunteer, developing and maintaining the website, Twitter and Facebook accounts, and soliciting donations for the sanctuary and events. |
