Snickers' StoryHi! My name is Snickers. I was dumped at a boat ramp in Shasta Lake City and found by a really nice fisherman who took me to the Shasta Lake City Animal Control. Renee from Raining Cats n Dogs found me and contacted my new foster mom, Katie, who came and picked me up. Because I was staggering when found, they thought I might be sick. After a visit to the vet’s office, the doctor said I was not sick but blind. I guess that’s okay because the news didn’t bother Katie at all. I love to play soccer with a ball that makes noise when I kick it. I hope no one is in my way because when I am chasing my soccer ball I go over under and through anyone or thing in my path. I also love running water in the sink – it’s fun to splash and drink the water until I am soaking wet. Katie says everyone loves a wet cat in their lap.
Snickers UPDATE 2016: I have now been at the sanctuary for 4 years. I had an issue with one of my eyes and had to have it removed last year. It hasn’t slowed me down at all. So now when I look at you it looks like I am winking. Our new Catio is finished so I spend most of my days outside playing with bugs, leaves and anything else that moves.
Our sanctuary runs on donations. |
