Make a Catnip Mouse.

catnip mouse

Materials needed: 1 knee-hi (pantyhose), catnip (about 2 Tablespoons), string or yarn, optional marker and thread for eyes and whiskers.

Directions: Stuff the end of the knee-hi with the catnip. It doesn't take much. If you want a fatter mouse, and you don't have much catnip, you can add a cotton ball or a smll wad of fiberfill to the end of the knee-hi. It doesn't have to be very big.

Tie a knot at the base of your stuffing, then turn it inside out and tie a knot at the other end. This reinforces your mouse by doubling the fabric around the catnip.

Tie a piece of yarn or string around the "tail" and your cat will be happy with it. If you want to get more creative, you can use a black marker to draw eyes on it and make whiskers from yarn or thread.

Here are some easy instructions if you'd rather knit a catnip mouse.
